Summary

Soja is a wooden bedside companion that reminds you to put your phone away at bedtime. Its name means “go to sleep” in Hindi.

Problem

Work, stress and late-night scrolling can make it difficult to keep a regular bedtime.

Solution

I designed an expressive LED face to prompt a bedtime routine, then prototyped its responses with Arduino and RFID. An RFID card stood in for phone detection; connections to room lighting and temperature remained proposed features.

Gionata Gatto helped cut the wood and create the miter joints.
